How mangrove plants and animals adapt to survive:



(ii)Burguira trees(kneed roots) :
· knobbyroots which look like bent knees
· roots grow in all directions from the base, the tree has more support and will not topple easily.


(iii)Rhizophora trees(prop roots)
· giant arching roots growing out from the trunk and branches of the tree
· roots broaden the base of the tree and provide additional support
